A major restaurateur in the South East consulted CM accountants as his Accountant had been dealing with a tax investigation and could not make any progress. In fact the taxman had made assessments for more than £850,000 and with interest and penalties expected a settlement of more than £1,500,000. We were able to secure a final settlement of just £75,000 and retain a positive balance on the Directors Loan Account at the same time.
