A well established manufacturing company suspected that some areas of business were not profitable but had no systems in
place to confirm the Directors' fears. The directors approached Cobham Murphy, on the recommendation of one of our many
satisfied clients.
After we had conducted a thorough review of the company´s operating methods we prepared a report for the directors and
recommended a course of action.
As a result, we introduced a management reporting package, which indeed confirmed the managing director´s
suspicions.
The business was re-organised into four divisions, each producing its own management reports for discussion at regular
meetings.
The business continued to expand, became more profitable and was subsequently sold, with the help of Cobham Murphy´s
Corporate Finance Team, for a sum in excess of £2 million.
